Phil was by far the best driving instructor I've ever learnt with - I just wish he provided automatic lessons as to this day I have still not found one who makes me confident during my driving and enjoyable. About Phil
Hi, I'm Phil Willis. I've been a driving instructor in Edinburgh for over 25 years now, since I started my school back in 1994. I focus on giving you reliable, expert tuition you can trust, and I always aim to keep things relaxed and friendly. I know learning to drive can feel stressful sometimes, but I'm here to help you build your confidence step by step.
I'm a Pass Plus registered instructor, so I can help you with that after you pass your test if you want to get some extra experience on motorways or in different conditions. I also offer motorway lessons as part of my regular teaching. Over the years, I've built up really good pass rates by making sure my students are consistently ready before they go for their test. My students say I'm friendly and considerate, and I keep things interesting with a bit of chat during lessons. I don't drag things out to get more money, I just want you to learn efficiently and enjoy the process.

Friendly, considerate, and to the point when it comes to driving instruction. He was able to keep up interesting and banterful chat throughout all of the lessons - and covered all bases at a fast rate. Was able to pass test first time, and without excessive lessons with him! Unlike some other Edinburgh driving instructors that I have heard of, he definitely doesn't try to screw you over to get more cash.
