Phil Johnson

Phil Johnson runs Mirrors Driving School, offering automatic driving lessons in Corby and Kettering. He has 17 years of experience as a driving instructor, a diploma in driver education and a BTEC Level 4 in coaching for driver development. Phil has also passed both the IAM and RoSPA advanced driving tests, so he really knows his stuff when it comes to road safety and teaching. As a dad of six, he is calm, patient and used to keeping people relaxed, which makes lessons feel supportive rather than stressful. Before instructing, Phil spent 20 years working as a chef. He became a driving instructor so he could spend more time with his family and meet people from all walks of life. He focuses on helping you become a safe, confident driver for life, not just on getting you through the test. Lessons are planned around what you personally need, and he also offers refresher lessons and Pass Plus training to build your skills after you pass. Phil is all about helping you feel comfortable, capable and ready for the road.
