About Peter

Hi, I'm Peter McKelvey. I've been teaching people to drive around Ballymena since 2009, and I still love it. I qualified as a DOE Approved Driving Instructor back then, and I'm also a Corporate Driver Trainer. I'm passionate about good driving, not just for my students but for everyone on the road. You'll often see me training around Ballymena, but I travel all over Northern Ireland for driver training. I've got a wife and three kids who keep an eye on my driving, so I've got to set a good example. I focus on automatic driving lessons, and I use Northern Ireland's first petrol-electric hybrid training vehicle. It's a smart, comfortable car that makes learning enjoyable. My approach is all about patience and making sure you understand why you're learning something, not just how to do it. I want you to feel confident and safe on the roads, whether you're a complete beginner or looking for advanced training. I've helped loads of nervous learners build their confidence, and I adapt my teaching to suit each person's needs. It's not just about passing the test, it's about becoming a good driver for life.
