Paul Catherwood

Hi, I'm Paul Catherwood. I've been a driving instructor for 22 years now, and I teach around the Hillsborough, Lisburn, Four Winds, Castlereagh and Belvoir areas just outside Belfast. I'm an Approved Driving Instructor with a really good pass rate, and I've taught all sorts of vehicles from cars to HGVs over the years. I like to keep things calm and supportive in my lessons. I know learning to drive can feel a bit daunting, so I make sure everything's explained clearly and we go at your pace. Most of my students who pass first time do around 40 hours of lessons with me, which gives them a really solid foundation. We use a modern manual Audi Q2 for lessons, which has dual controls, an automatic handbrake and park assist to make things easier. I offer a few different options depending on what you're after. There's standard two-hour lessons, blocks of five two-hour sessions, and a Quick Pass Academy if you want to get through everything in 2-3 weeks. I also do refresher courses for people who haven't driven in a while. My students say I'm patient and good at building confidence, which is what I aim for every time.
