About Johnny

Hi, I'm Johnny Robertson. I started Topgear Driving Tuition back in 2003, and it's grown from just me to a team of 14 instructors across Glasgow and the surrounding areas. We've been going strong for over 20 years now, and I still love helping people get their licence. We focus on making lessons enjoyable and cost-effective, because learning to drive should be a positive experience, not a stressful one. Our instructors are all fully qualified ADIs with up-to-date DBS checks, and we've got both male and female teachers if you have a preference. We adapt our methods to suit each learner, since everyone picks things up differently. The cars are all dual-controlled and air-conditioned, so you'll be comfortable while you learn. We teach both manual and automatic, and we're here for everyone, whether you're a complete beginner, need a refresher, or want an intensive course to get your licence quickly. We cover Glasgow, East Glasgow, Motherwell, Paisley, Dumbarton, and other nearby areas. Our students often tell us they feel confident driving on their own after passing, not just for the test. Direct and practical, Russell was an amazing instructor, with his methods, patience and friendly approach i feel Russell not only taught me to pass my test but also how to drive safely afterwards, during the time Russell was teaching me he was very consistent and thorough, the structured lessons and the excellent advice and support I have received are the reason i passed 1st time and also the reason i already feel comfortable driving on my own. I will be recommending Russell to any family and friends looking to learn to drive in the future. I had a great experience learning to drive with Andy from Topgear. He was a hugely calming influence and was quick to pick up on aspects of my driving that required attention and provided effective solutions to these issues. He always took time to explain everything fully and clearly, and lessons were always varied (both in terms of routes and driving excersises) relevant and provided me with the necessary skills needed to pass my test. I had a great experience learning to drive with Andy from Topgear. He was a hugely calming influence and was quick to pick up on aspects of my driving that required attention and provided effective solutions to these issues. He always took time to explain everything fully and clearly, and lessons were always varied (both in terms of routes and driving excersises) relevant and provided me with the necessary skills needed to pass my test.
