Passed first time I highly recommend Helen. I booked a Semi Intensive Driving course and passed my driving test first time. Helen has a very practical way of teaching making it easier to learn, not only she point your areas of improvement but also praises your achievements, which I believe is very important to give you the confidence to be a safe driver. She keeps you informed about incoming lessons and gives comprehensive feedback after finishing lessons. Wish I had found Helen earlier! I can't recommend Helen enough, she helped me iron out numerous bad habits I had picked up from driving family members cars and got me through my test first time. I came to Helen expecting to need 20 odd hours but she quickly spotted what I needed to work on and got me pass ready in less than 10. Nervous driver transformed! When Helen became my driving instructor, I was at the stage where I had already had quite a lot of lessons, but was in need of some intensive lessons just before my test. Although I had already had quite a lot of driving experience, I was still a very nervous driver and I had had bad experience with previous instructors which had definitely damaged my confidence while driving: given that background, I couldn't be more impressed with Helen as an instructor and her tailored, personalised approach as an instructor which made me feel completely at ease right from the start. Immediately from our first lesson together, I was struck by Helen's thorough, organised approach which immediately made me feel at ease. She adapted so quickly to what I wanted to focus on, was patient and understanding, but also pushed me and encouraged me in a way which I definitely needed to get to the next step. I can't believe how much improvement I made as a driver in such a short space of time and I can say with certainty that that was the result of Helen's calm, considered manner as an instructor. Helen encouraged me to do commentary driving and that was a game-changer for me in the test: I thought carefully before everything I did in the test, it helped calm my nerves and Helen recognised that it would be something that would really help me. And most importantly, I passed! The best instructor and I miss our lessons! I have had Helen as my driving instructor and I have had the best time. She has so much patience and is so calm. I wouldn't have passed without Helen! I came to Helen already having had lessons in Yorkshire, I wasn't taught very well. Helen helped me get rid of bad habits I had been taught and gave me the confidence to go for it. She is very patient and understanding.
