Anne Dransfield

Anne Dransfield is a Grade A independent driving instructor based in north York. She's been a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor for nine years, and before that she spent over thirty years as a primary school teacher. That background in education really shows in her approach - she's patient, friendly, and tailors everything to what each learner needs. If you learn with Anne, expect a calm, no-pressure environment. She picks you up from your door or an agreed meeting point, and she only uses the York Test Centre. Right now she's teaching in a manual car, but from May 2026 she'll be switching to an electric automatic Cupra Born. Her focus isn't just on passing the test - she wants you to become a safe, confident driver for life. She works Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 4pm, and has an exceptionally high first-time pass rate.
