About Angus
Angus has helped over 130 students pass their driving test, with many achieving first-time passes at centres like Musselburgh and Currie. Based in Edinburgh, he's known for being calm, patient, and really good at explaining things in a way that sticks. He's been teaching since 2010, after qualifying with the AA Driving School and then setting up his own independent school to focus on what works best for learners.
He tailors his approach to each student, quickly figuring out how you learn best to make lessons both productive and enjoyable. A very calm and practical teacher who never stressed me out but knew how to push me and make me feel confident in my ability to drive. Would recommend learning with him to anyone and he is perfect at explaining why to do certain things and how to fix others. Honestly just brilliant and really easy to talk to and ask any questions - thanks again!!

His helpful YouTube videos helped me practice between lessons and he made me feel confident when I got a cancellation with 3 weeks notice and got my pass - 10/10 choice!! Thank you Angus 🙂
mike lyle18:46 03 Oct 25I just passed my test two weeks ago with Angus!I had a couple of previous instructors prior to Angus and I found him the best. Down to earth, practical and a nice guy. For sure we had our difficult days here and there, but on the whole he was patient, and is extremely professional and made me, most importantly, a good driver! I will continue to remain in contact with Angus for the odd brush up lesson and recommend him to anyone wishing to prepare for their practical test!
