Andy Wilkinson

Andy Wilkinson has been helping learners get on the road since 2002. He is a Grade A DVSA-approved instructor, holds the RoSPA gold driving qualification and is a member of the Driving Instructors Association, following their Code of Conduct. His first-time pass rate is higher than the national average of 51%. Andy is patient, friendly and punctual, and he is good at helping people feel relaxed and confident in their lessons. He teaches learners aged 17 to 60 in a modern 2024 Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost ST Line X, and offers one-hour, 1.5-hour or two-hour lessons with no car sharing. Andy is based in Ilkeston on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border and covers Nottingham, Ilkeston and nearby areas. He gets pupils ready for tests at Watnall, Chilwell, Alvaston and Ashfield test centres. Lessons are structured so you move from the basics to more advanced driving at a pace that suits you, with mock tests included so the real thing feels familiar. Andy is especially good with nervous drivers, refresher lessons and test retakes, and he focuses on helping you become a safe driver for life. A large part of his work comes from recommendations from happy pupils, which says a lot about how much people trust him.
