About Andy McDonald
Andy McDonald is a very experienced DVSA-recognised top-tier driving instructor and co-leads The Driving Academy in Bishop Auckland. He's all about keeping lessons positive and relaxed so you actually enjoy learning and feel properly listened to.
Andy's lessons are fun and engaging, which really helps you feel at ease as your skills grow. He uses iPads, dash cams and an interactive theory website to make things clear and easy to understand.
He's known for being patient, kind and supportive, especially with nervous or anxious learners. Lots of his pupils mention how much their confidence grows with him. Andy also helps train other instructors at the academy, so high standards run through the whole team. Many of his students pass first time and really value the support and encouragement he gives right up to test day.
