Finding your instructor locally
Find a Torpoint instructor for lessons around your routine
Local information checked 21 October 2026
We help you find one of our vetted instructors for Torpoint and confirm pickup coverage at the exact address you provide. Tell us your preferred car type, suitable lesson times and what local journeys you want to practise.
Plan around Torpoint’s ferry-town setting
Torpoint Town Council places the ferry office on Ferry Street, and its local history records the long-established Tamar crossing to Plymouth. These are distinctive local references for talking through traffic awareness and reading signs near the waterfront. If your lesson starts nearby, agree the precise pickup point with the instructor rather than assuming a ferry area is suitable for a car to stop.
Wilcove and Maryfield are nearby areas. Include the address if either is convenient so we can check instructor coverage before matching.
A clear offer before you decide
We contact suitable instructors in our vetted network and confirm pickup coverage, manual or automatic tuition, dates and times, and the lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate. You see the instructor and terms first, and the offer is held for at least 24 hours.
Search fee and lesson payments
Pay the MyInstructorFinder search fee upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more, plus optional £25 Priority. We keep it only if you accept an offer. If no suitable offer is found by the agreed deadline or the final held offer expires unaccepted, we refund the full fee including Priority. Declining any offer closes the entire search and brings the same full refund.
Pay lesson fees directly to your instructor on the day of each lesson. No advance lesson payment or deposit is required through this service.
Nearby practical test centres
Test-centre distances are approximate straight-line estimates from the Torpoint area, not road distances from your pickup.
