Shorthope Street links the River Esk and High Street. East Lothian Council reported Cabinet approval in 2025 for two-way cycling there as part of its active-travel project. Approval does not confirm that every change is in place, so follow the signs and road markings you see during lessons. Keep space for people walking and cycling near the town centre.
If you are near Fisherrow or Pinkie, share your exact pickup point so coverage can be confirmed. You can also tell us whether your goals include urban observation, junction decisions or building confidence around mixed road users.
Check the offer before you accept
Tell us if you want manual or automatic lessons, your available dates and times and the pickup to check. We confirm actual pickup coverage, your transmission preference, suitable dates and times, and the lesson price directly with the instructor. We negotiate the best available lesson rate for your request.
You see the offer first and it is held for at least 24 hours. Review the pickup, schedule, price and terms before deciding.
Know what you pay upfront
The search fee is paid upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 hours or more. Optional Priority costs £25. We keep the search fee only if you accept an offer. If no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline, we refund the full search fee including Priority. Declining an offer closes the whole search and brings a full refund including Priority; the same refund applies if your final held offer expires without acceptance.
After acceptance, lesson payments go directly to the instructor on the day of each lesson. No advance lesson payment or deposit is required through MyInstructorFinder.
