Practise reading the road early

Tameside Council’s March 2026 update describes lane-marking and crossing work on Ashton Road between Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way and Hyde Road at Crown Point. This gives a local context for practising how to read lane arrows, notice crossings and check mirrors before changing position. Follow the markings and signs in place during your lesson.

You can start on familiar roads around Audenshaw or Hooley Hill and add more complex junctions as your control develops. Ask your instructor to practise one skill at a time, such as preparing for a turn or judging a safe gap, at a pace that leaves room to observe.

We find and pair you with one of our vetted instructors. They confirm actual pickup coverage, manual or automatic and other preferences, suitable dates and times, and lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request. You see the offer before you accept and it is held for at least 24 hours.

The MIF Search Fee is paid upfront at £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more hours, with optional Priority at £25. It is retained only on acceptance. We refund the full Search Fee including Priority if no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline, if you decline any offer, or if the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining closes the entire search. Lesson payments go directly to the instructor on each lesson day, with no advance lesson payment or deposit.
