Finding your instructor locally
Driving lessons in Battle, arranged around your pickup
Local information checked 21 October 2026
The pickup and timetable that suit you are a good place to begin a lesson search in Battle. Tell us if Caldbec Hill, Telham or another nearby area is convenient. We will search our vetted instructor network and pair you with one instructor who can confirm the actual arrangements before you decide.
Choose the right place to start
Share your precise pickup, whether you want manual or automatic tuition, any other preferences, and the days and times you can learn. We ask suitable instructors to confirm actual coverage and availability for that address. This direct check helps you consider a lesson offer that fits your own routine.
Build control on Battle’s hills and streets
Rother District Council’s appraisal describes the A2100, North Trade Road and Market Road roundabout at the northern entrance, where High Street narrows into the historic core. It also describes Mount Street descending steeply from Caldbec Hill and Lower Lake rising towards Upper Lake. These local gradients and street changes can help you discuss speed control, forward planning and positioning with your instructor, choosing practice to suit your experience.
A vetted instructor, with a price negotiated
Our team contacts suitable instructors from our vetted network and pairs you with one. They confirm actual pickup coverage, your transmission and other requirements, suitable dates and times, and the lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request.
Your offer and search fee
Pay the MIF Search Fee upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 hours or more. Priority is optional at £25. We retain the fee only if you accept an offer, held for at least 24 hours. If no suitable local offer is found by the agreed deadline, you decline an offer, or the final held offer expires without acceptance, we refund the full search fee including Priority. Declining closes the whole search.
Pay on each lesson day
For offers made through our service, each lesson is paid directly to the instructor on the day, without advance lesson payment or a deposit. DVSA does not publish practical test routes, so build observation and control across different roads rather than learn a set circuit.
