Practise between the station and the older centre
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council identifies the railway station, The Malls, Festival Place and the historic Top of the Town as parts of the town-centre area. These places offer useful landmarks for discussing different kinds of driving practice. You and the instructor can choose a manageable focus, such as checking signs early, setting up for junctions or watching for pedestrians, and add more demanding streets as your experience grows.
A vetted instructor and negotiated price
Our team contacts suitable instructors in our vetted network and pairs you with one. They confirm your actual pickup coverage, transmission and other preferences, requested dates and times, and lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request.
Your fee and time to consider
Pay the MIF Search Fee upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours, or £19.99 for 11 or more. Priority is optional at £25. We retain the fee only if you accept an offer, which is held for at least 24 hours. We refund the full search fee including Priority if no suitable local offer is found by your agreed deadline, you decline an offer, or the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining ends the entire search.
Pay the instructor on lesson days
For offers arranged through us, lesson payments go directly to the instructor on the day of each lesson, with no advance lesson payment or deposit. Practical test routes are not published, so build observation and decision-making across varied conditions instead of rehearsing a circuit.
