About Vernon
Hi, I'm Vernon. I'm an instructor with Go Green Driving Academy in Leicester, and I've been helping people learn to drive for a while now. I really enjoy teaching, and I'm known for being patient and understanding, especially with nervous learners. I've had students who thought they'd never drive, and it's great to see them gain confidence and pass their tests.
I make sure lessons are one-to-one, so it's just you and me in the car, and I'm flexible with scheduling to fit around shift work or busy lives. I recommend Vernon to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and professional instructor. I had 3 instructors before finding Vernon and thought I would never drive, I was nervous and doubted myself constantly. Vernon worked to build up my confidence and give me instructions in a way that was perfect for my style of learning. He knew the areas which I struggled with (like roundabouts) and worked with me to overcome my fears and deal with potential issues in the correct way. I managed to fit my lessons around busy work schedules as Vernon was very flexible and accommodating. The way in which Vernon has taught me has turned me from a very nervous driver to a calm and confident one. I cannot believe the way I now feel about driving, having passed my test!! I had Vernon as my driving instructor and on Tuesday I passed my driving test! I'm so thankful that I had Vernon he taught me how to drive well but he was also there for me when I had a little melt down, he is a driving instructor, mentor and friend and I will forever be repeating the things he said to me when I'm driving in the future!
When I first started driving lessons I was very scared as I didn't know how my cerebral palsy would affect me and my ability. As the weeks passed my confidence grew and grew. I managed to pass my theory test first time and my practical first time with only four faults. I strongly believe I wouldn't have done as well if I had I gone with any other driving school!
