Mark Crees

Mark Crees is a friendly, experienced driving instructor based in Newtown, Powys. He brings over twenty years of teaching know-how from his time as a primary school teacher into his driving lessons. He became an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) in 2019 after training with the AA Driving School and he focuses on keeping lessons relaxed, clear and supportive. Mark keeps things flexible. He adjusts lessons to suit you, including timing, length and pick-up points. His aim is to build your confidence and help you become a safe driver for life, not just to get you through the test. He teaches in a Ford Focus Titanium with modern safety features like Lane Departure Assistance and Pre-collision Assist, plus handy driver aids such as Speed Limit Recognition and parking sensors. It is a comfortable and reassuring car to learn in. Mark offers standard lessons, intensive courses, Pass Plus, advanced refresher lessons and help with test retakes. His pupils' pass rates have gone up from 82% in 2023 to 88% in 2025.
