I've been trying to learn to drive of the period of a couple of years and I had been through a few different instructors. Jerry has easily been the best and I've just passed with my first attempt since working with him. He has been incredibly calm, patient, knowledgeable and professional. He's built up my confidence and skill steadily until it all started to click. I would strongly recommend him as an instructor.

Jerry Holmes runs a family driving school that's been going since 2003. He's based in Broadstairs and covers Thanet, Sandwich, and Deal. If you learn with Jerry, you'll find he's calm, patient, and really knows his stuff. He's been teaching for years and gets a lot of his students through first time. He listens to what you need and won't rush you. You'll get clear explanations and plenty of practice in each lesson. Jerry's school invests in regular training for all their instructors, so you're learning with someone who's up to date. They're a proper family business, and about three quarters of their work comes from recommendations. Students say Jerry's supportive, professional, and good at building confidence. Jerry is such a great instructor and I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with him. He helps you become a better, safer driver and make good decisions on the road. I passed first time and would highly recommend.
Jerry was an amazing instructor! Couldn't recommend him more. I passed first time! He was always very patient and calm, and allowed me to take my time whilst learning, whilst still encouraging me to go out of my comfort zone, which i felt safe doing, as he was always very patient. I really liked that he tailors the learning experience to suit each individual student's needs. For example, I am a visual learner, and he was always happy to draw out examples and instructions, as well as actually demonstrating things such as manoeuvres himself. There was no pressure to talk if you're someone who's quiet and can get anxious whilst driving, but he also provides a safe environment for people who like to chat during their lessons, which was very important to me, as i like to chat a lot lol. This made me feel more comfortable during my lessons. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable whilst driving, and would suggest this driving school to anyone and everyone who is looking for somewhere to go. Thanks Jerry 🙂
A lovely family run business. I was taught by Jerry and recently passed my test. Jerry has been an instructor for a very long time and is really knowledgeable. A very nice man who is genuinely interested in his learners.
I wanted to find a local driving instructor that was very patient, and was able to fit in around my lessons at school. My learning experiences the space was more specific to the pupil so I felt more comfortable. My instructor Brandon, his teaching methods was very good. Teaching of Manoeuvres was a good mix of instructions and using your own judgment I definitely would recommend this driving school and Brandan, if someone is nervous to learn to drive. I was made to feel more comfortable and enjoyed my lessons.
Jerry was an amazing instructor who took me on with a strict time limit for passing my test with no prior lessons. He was extremely knowledgeable and couldn't have prepared me better, enabling me to pass first time. I highly recommend Jerry as a supportive and experienced instructor.
