Ian

Ian is an experienced independent driving instructor based in Alton, North-East Hampshire. He started in the driver training industry in August 2021 and became a fully qualified ADI at his first attempt in January 2022. After four successful years and almost 100 test passes with a national driving school, he set up his own business, Learn with Ian, to offer friendly, high-quality tuition across Alton, Bentley, Four Marks, Alresford and the surrounding villages. Lessons are in a 2024 1.0 litre Volkswagen Polo with HeMan dual controls, and he can also give automatic lessons in students' own cars. Ian has a calm, patient and methodical way of teaching. He shapes each lesson around the student's ability, personality and circumstances. He focuses on building real confidence and solid driving skills so pupils turn up on test day ready for a lifetime of safe driving. Ian has a strong record of first time passes and is well known for his patience with nervous learners. He is also great at helping older drivers refresh their skills and supporting conversions from automatic to manual driving when needed.
