Instructor information and corrections

Last updated: 21 October 2026

MyInstructorFinder matches learners with instructors from our vetted network. We check coverage, lesson requirements and availability directly before presenting an offer. Instructor snippets on area pages explain the network we can search; they do not promise an available lesson or let a learner reserve a particular instructor.

Keeping information accurate

We maintain professional instructor records, including teaching areas, transmission, relevant teaching focuses and approved photographs. Tell us if something is inaccurate, belongs to the wrong person or should no longer be used. A request does not require an instructor account or payment.

We verify reports that an instructor has permanently stopped teaching and record the resulting correction or restriction. Temporary leave or a full diary can be recorded as an availability issue. Safety concerns, mistaken identity, bereavement, privacy rights and legal requirements receive individual consideration.

Contact and privacy requests

You can ask us to stop promotional contact, correct information, restrict processing or consider erasure through support. Include your professional name and town so we can identify the right record. An existing reference or link can help, but you do not need to quote legislation.

We may make proportionate identity checks. We normally respond to data-rights requests within one month and explain any lawful extension within that period. We consider the purpose, necessity and lawful basis for retaining information and explain our decision. See the privacy policy for your rights and the route to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Manage contact preferences if you can verify the email associated with your instructor record. If you cannot access that email, contact support so we can assess another way to verify the request.

Offers and learner concerns

A learner's offer must accurately state the agreed instructor, lesson rate, dates and other requirements. We do not treat an unconfirmed reply as an offer. If an offer is inaccurate, withdrawn or materially changed, tell us promptly with your search reference. Our refund policy explains the search-fee guarantee and protection for invalid offers.

We do not invent availability, qualifications, testimonials, prices or savings. Instructor information and any feedback must be attributed accurately. A commercial relationship does not justify keeping inaccurate information or suppressing a legitimate complaint.

Records of decisions

Support requests receive a case reference. We record relevant evidence, the decision and who reviewed it. Where necessary, we can restrict information while a serious issue is assessed. Limited historical transaction, complaint and audit records may remain private to meet legal obligations, handle disputes or prevent a corrected record being recreated.
