Finding your instructor locally
Arrange Tilbury driving lessons with a suitable instructor
Local information checked 21 October 2026
We help you find one of our vetted instructors for Tilbury and confirm whether they cover your actual pickup point. Tell us your preferred transmission, the times you can learn and the local journeys you want to feel more confident making.
Build from local streets to the A1089
Thurrock Council describes the A1089 as linking Tilbury with the A13 and onward access towards the M25. Use those road names to talk through a journey with your instructor, practising early sign reading, safe lane choice and calm decisions as you join a busier route.
Biggin and Thurrock Park are nearby places to mention when arranging a pickup. If your preferred pickup is closer to either, include the exact address so we can check coverage with an instructor.
We confirm the instructor and terms
We contact suitable instructors in our vetted network and confirm pickup coverage, manual or automatic lessons, available dates and times, and the lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate. You see the proposed instructor and terms before accepting; the offer is held for at least 24 hours.
Search fee and lesson payments
Pay the MyInstructorFinder search fee upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more, plus optional £25 Priority. We keep it only if you accept an offer. If no suitable offer is found by the agreed deadline or the final held offer expires unaccepted, we refund the full fee including Priority. Declining any offer closes the entire search and brings the same full refund.
Pay lesson fees directly to your instructor on the day of each lesson. No advance lesson payment or deposit is required through this service.
Nearby practical test centres
Test-centre distances are approximate straight-line estimates from the Tilbury area, not road distances from your pickup. They are not road mileage from your pickup address.
