Plan around Friargate
Lancashire County Council reports that the Transforming Friargate North and Ringway project was completed in September 2024 and pedestrianised Friargate. A transport plan places Friargate between Adelphi Roundabout, Ring Way and Market Street, connecting UCLan with the retail core. Use those names to orient a conversation with your instructor, but obey present-day signs and do not assume a pedestrianised street is an available vehicle pickup. Nearby Avenham, Adelphi and Broadgate are other references you can give when describing where you live or want to meet.
