Cheshire East Council describes Poynton Shared Space as designed around careful attention between drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, with low vehicle speeds. A lesson there can focus on smooth speed control, scanning for people and signalling clearly before changing direction; follow the signs and layout in place.
Start where it suits you
If you are near Midway, Hockley or Hope Green, share the precise pickup point so coverage can be checked. You may want to begin with basic car control on quieter roads, or, if you already have experience, focus on anticipating other road users around the centre. Your instructor can choose the right level of challenge and adjust if local conditions change. The DVSA does not publish test routes, so practise the judgement and observation skills that transfer to other places.
A clear offer before you choose
We find and pair you with one of our vetted instructors. We check that the actual pickup is covered, confirm your transmission preference and suitable dates and times, and agree the lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate from that instructor. You receive the proposed offer before accepting and it remains held for at least 24 hours, so you can review the timing and terms.
Fees and lesson payments
Pay the MyInstructorFinder search fee upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more, plus optional £25 Priority. We keep it only if you accept an offer. If no suitable offer is found by the agreed deadline or the final held offer expires unaccepted, we refund the full fee including Priority. Declining any offer closes the entire search and brings the same full refund.
Pay lesson fees directly to your instructor on the day of each lesson. No advance lesson payment or deposit is required through this service.
