Finding your instructor locally
Painswick driving lessons arranged around your pickup
Local information checked 20 October 2026
A good lesson match in Painswick starts with the pickup and schedule that suit you. We pair you with one of our vetted instructors after checking the actual address and your preferred lesson type.
Plan from the village centre to the lanes
Stroud District Council’s heritage appraisal identifies the A46 as an approach to Painswick’s tight-knit village centre, with more dispersed lanes and outlying places towards the countryside. This is useful context for discussing how to build from central streets to a different road setting, with the instructor choosing suitable practice for your experience.
If you are near Longridge or Edge, tell us the precise pickup address. We confirm coverage directly so the offer reflects the point where you want to start.
Confirm the lesson terms before accepting
Tell us if you prefer manual or automatic lessons, which dates and times work and what skills you want to practise. We confirm actual pickup coverage, your transmission preference, suitable dates and times, and the lesson price directly with the instructor. We negotiate the best available lesson rate for your request.
The offer is yours to review before acceptance and remains held for at least 24 hours. Check the pickup, price and terms before deciding.
Know what you pay and when
The search fee is paid upfront: £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 hours or more. Optional Priority costs £25. The fee is retained only if you accept an offer. You receive a full refund of the search fee including Priority if no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline. Declining an offer closes the whole search and also brings a full refund including Priority; the same refund applies if your final held offer expires without acceptance.
After acceptance, lesson payments go directly to the instructor on the day of each lesson. No advance lesson payment or deposit is required through MyInstructorFinder.
