Practise signs and lane choice near the ferry
The Isle of Wight Council’s East Cowes plan describes Castle Street as mostly one-way, with a two-way section used by vehicles leaving the Red Funnel ferry. It also identifies the roundabout at Well Road and Dover Road and a lane choice near Ferry Road. These are useful local details for discussing sign-reading, positioning and allowing time to respond to changing traffic.
Your instructor can decide which setting suits your experience and the conditions on the day. Begin with familiar streets and build towards a roundabout or busier approach when you feel ready. Practise reading signs early and choosing a safe lane rather than trying to memorise a particular journey.
Understand the offer and payments
We pair you with one of our vetted instructors. The instructor confirms actual pickup coverage, your transmission and other preferences, suitable dates and times, and lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request. You see the offer before acceptance and it is held for at least 24 hours.
The MIF Search Fee is paid upfront at £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more hours; optional Priority is £25. We retain the fee only if you accept. The full Search Fee including Priority is refunded if no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline, if you decline any offer, or if the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining closes the entire search. Lesson payments go directly to the instructor on each lesson day, with no advance lesson payment or deposit.
