Finding your instructor locally
Find driving lessons in the City of London with pickup agreed
Local information checked 21 October 2026
We help City of London learners find one of our vetted instructors and confirm a pickup that suits their plans. Tell us if The Borough, Shoreditch, Southwark, St Luke’s or another nearby area is convenient. Your instructor checks actual coverage, available times and the lesson price before you accept.
Make the arrangement specific
Share a precise meeting point, manual or automatic preference, any other lesson needs and the dates and times you can learn. We confirm the request directly with one instructor, including whether the exact pickup is practical. Clear details help make a lesson easier to arrange in a busy central area.
Practise reading City restrictions early
The City Corporation lists permanent motor-vehicle closures at Queen Victoria Street by Mansion House Street and on Threadneedle Street between Bank Junction and Bartholomew Lane. It also lists turn controls and weekday timed restrictions on Lombard Street. Signs and controls can vary by street and direction, so check them before deciding where to go.
These conditions make early observation and calm route choices useful lesson goals. Ask your instructor to work on spotting restrictions ahead, selecting a safe lane and changing direction without a rushed manoeuvre. You can begin in a quieter nearby area and build towards more complex junctions when your experience allows.
Clear terms before your first lesson
We pair you with one of our vetted instructors and confirm actual pickup coverage, transmission and other preferences, dates and times, and lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request. You see the offer before acceptance and it is held for at least 24 hours.
The MIF Search Fee is paid upfront at £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 or more; optional Priority costs £25. It is retained only if you accept. We refund the full Search Fee including Priority if no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline, if you decline an offer, or if the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining closes the entire search. Lesson payments go directly to the instructor on each lesson day, with no advance lesson payment or deposit.
