Build confidence around the ring road and centre

The A5268 forms Chester’s inner ring road, with approaches including the A51 at Foregate Street, A56 at Hoole Way, A540/A5116, A548 and A483. Those road names can help you discuss route planning, signs, lane choice and junction decisions with your instructor.

Inside the ring road, some streets have one-way or restricted vehicle access, and access to the pedestrianised area is managed through Northgate Street. Follow current signs and agree a suitable practice route. Lessons can begin around Boughton or Westminster Park and build towards the city centre when your instructor considers it appropriate. Practise adapting to different road layouts rather than memorising one itinerary.

The MIF Search Fee is paid upfront and costs £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 hours or more, with optional Priority at £25. We keep it only if you accept. We refund the full Search Fee including Priority if no suitable local offer is found by the agreed search deadline, if you decline an offer, or if the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining closes the entire search. Lesson payments go directly to your instructor on each lesson day, with no advance lesson payment or deposit.
