Finding your instructor locally
Find driving lessons in Ashton-in-Makerfield around your day
Local information checked 21 October 2026
A useful lesson arrangement starts with where you need to be collected and when you can learn. Tell us if Ashton Heath, Stubshaw Cross or another nearby area suits you. We will search our vetted instructor network and pair you with one instructor who can confirm your actual request before you decide.
Make your pickup and preferences clear
Share your precise pickup, whether you prefer manual or automatic tuition, any other requirements, and the dates and times you can manage. We ask suitable instructors to confirm real coverage and availability for those details. This gives you a proposal built around your own starting point instead of an assumption based on a town name.
Plan carefully around current town-centre works
Wigan Council’s bulletin and FAQ describe temporary traffic management in Ashton-in-Makerfield, including northbound one-way working on Gerard Street and southbound traffic through Bryn Street. The council says access is maintained during phases of the work and notes that arrangements may change. Treat this as dated context only: follow current signs, allow your instructor to choose a suitable pickup and lesson plan, and confirm any access detail before travelling.
A vetted instructor and a direct price check
Our team contacts suitable instructors from our vetted network and pairs you with one. They confirm actual coverage at your pickup, transmission and other preferences, dates and times available, and lesson price directly. We negotiate the best available rate for your request.
An offer you can consider
The MIF Search Fee is paid upfront at £9.99 for up to 10 requested hours or £19.99 for 11 hours or more. Optional Priority costs £25. We retain the fee only if you accept an offer. The offer is held for at least 24 hours so you can review it before deciding. We refund the full search fee including Priority if there is no suitable local offer by the agreed deadline, you decline an offer, or the final held offer expires without acceptance. Declining closes the whole search.
Pay each lesson on its day
For offers through our service, lesson charges go directly to the instructor on the day of each lesson; no advance lesson payment or deposit is required. Test routes are not published, so build flexible skills for real road conditions rather than a predicted circuit.
